Gay Chamber of Commerce to Ring Stock Exchange Bell

The National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) is slated to ring the bell of the New York Stock Exchange on June 20 according to an announcement by Justin Nelson, co-founder of the two-and-a-half year old organization.

The announcement was made at the end of the ceremony honoring “courageous” business and government leaders including Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass) (above, right, with NGLCC co-founders Chance Mitchell and Justin Nelson) at the organization’s second annual awards dinner last night, held at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC.

The NGLCC, which recently announced a memorandum of understanding with the U.S. Department of the Interior designed to bring access to gay businesses in securing government contracts, will be the first gay organization to ring the stock exchange bell said Nelson, above.
