Gay Chamber of Commerce to Ring NYSE Closing Bell at 4:00 p.m. Today

Today National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) Board member Walter Schubert will represent the NGLCC by ringing the closing bell of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). Schubert is the founder of the Gay Financial Network (GFN) and according to the GFN website website was the first openly gay stock trader on the NYSE.

As first reported in a previous post on joetresh.com that includes photos from the NGLCC’s annual awards dinner, this will be the first time a gay organization has rung the stock exchange bell, according to Justin Nelson, co-founder of the NGLCC.
