
Thanksgiving weekend is the traditional beginning of the Christmas season. So on Fifth Avenue we caught the Rockefeller Center tree before it was lit, but the walls and windows across the avenue at Saks were already dancing with light and music.


The snowflakes hanging on the walls of Saks Fifth Avenue perform a light show to Trans-Siberian Orchestra Christmas music.

Dave and I saw The Odd Couple with Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick and a fantastic supporting cast. Next to the theatre, you can warm up with an odd couple of drinks.

Late Friday, after dinner at Lucky Cheng’s, we stopped at Greenwich Village watering hole, Ty’s. This seems to be the best place that we fit in. Here’s the face of your local neighborhood bartender.


This is Lucky Cheng of Lucky Cheng’s Asian restaurant in the East Village with some of the filtheist drag waitress you will likely ever find. What a blast! (Some photos censored!) The food was pretty awesome, too.
