Cherry Blossom Ruby Cancelled Saturday, April 8, 2006

From the 2005 Cherry Blossom Tournament

OK, the website says “check the phone,” and the phone message says “check the website.” Neither have been updated today so I made a few more calls and found out that today’s games in the Washington Rugby Football Club’s 40th Annual Cherry Blossom Tournament have been cancelled due to the rain. I wonder if everyone is drinking somewhere…

Tomorrow’s games are still on the table, weather permitting (check the website, they say). They’re also looking for an alternative pitch (field) because the National Park Service doesn’t exactly like the fields being torn up, even though it makes for great muddy rugby.

Rain, rain, go away…
