2006 Cherry Blossom Rugby Tournament Photos, Part 1

The semi-final between Fairfield Prep and Banting was brutal.

Moments before downing a Banting player (below) Fairfield’s #2 charges up his teammates.

One Banting player, Drew, was hit hard to the chest by a fast Fairfield rugger’s charge, then piled on by more. After a few minutes examination, Drew walked off the field to a nice chair in the shade. After the loss of their player, Banting yelled battle cries of revenge. The violence heated up on both sides, barely allowing the teams to make contact without starting a fight.

A Firfiled Prep rugger listens to fellow players and his coach after being eliminated by Banting, RFC. Banting went on to win the High School Division.
