Red Line Is Bathed in Red

According to a recent LunchTalk online chat, The Washington Metro Area Transit Authority is installing new LED platform edge lights in a pilot program to help reduce energy consumption and track service times. METRO is also hoping to see a safety benefit if the red and amber lights act as a warning to keep commuters away from the platform edge.
