District of Columbia firefighters suppressed a fire in two roughly 150-square-foot rooms of the basement parking garage of Lofts 11, a condominium building under construction at 1123 11th Street, NW, in Washington D.C. Neighbors who smelled smoke called for firefighters, who located the source. The building was empty. Source: Battalion Fire Chief C.C. Diggs
