
Four vacant homes owned by Shiloh Baptist church have been condemned by the D.C. Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs. The white and painted-red brick properties are 1528, 1532, 1534 and 1536 Ninth St. NW.

A vacant home owned by Shiloh Baptist church at 1533 Ninth St. NW. In 1998 the church received a grant of $340,000 for a makeover of this property into a youth coffeehouse.

Fiesta Asia, the annual Asian American Heritage Festival sponsored by Asia Heritage Foundation and Asian Fortune newspaper, was held Saturday, May 13, 2007, on Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, in Washington, D.C. The festival included Asian cultural and dance acts, martial arts demonstrations, community organizations, and a parade including dragon and unicorn dance troupes.
