Photographer’s Rights at Union Station Upheld

Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton took the Union Station Redevelopment Corporation, Jones Lang LaSalle Retail, and Ashkenazy Acquisition to task yesterday, July 22, 2008, during a congressional hearing over the continued harassment of photographers as reported on flickr in the DC Photo Rights Group. She has directed them to draft new photography policies within thirty days and enforce them in a uniform matter within sixty days. More information from the Washington Post. Barenaked Ladies singer Steven Page performs Tuesday, January 29, 2008, with a pair of pink panties thrown by a fan in his pocket. The photo is from a continuing series of images from rock-and-roll cruise “Ships and Dip III,” hosted by Barenaked Ladies.

Page was arrested early Saturday morning, July 12, 2008, for possession of cocaine. Page was caught by police with the drug while in the Manlius, NY, home of his girlfriend, Christine Benedicto, with whom he had an argument earlier that evening.
