Chris Whelan

Chris Whelan is the pseudonym for Bullneck. A newcomer to photography, having picked it up when he first moved to the DC area two years ago, Chris prefers focusing on natural and candid shots. His major interests include covering protests, police activity, parades, events, and cityscapes. With his focus on male hypermasculinity and imagery of police authority, Chris affectionately uses identifying terms like “bullgoon,” “big lug” and “pup” to help capture the identity of his subjects.
