I consider myself a connoisseur and that’s why I prefer to grind my own coffee beans rather than purchasing them already ground. This allows me to make a fresh, aromatic and tasty cup of coffee anytime. So when my coffee grinder broke down, I decided to look for a budget coffee grinder. One thing I know about coffee grinders is that the expensive models tend to work quietly and they are also more accurate. However, one can still find an inexpensive model that does the job just as well.
When it comes to grinders, we have blade grinders and burr grinders, which are normally quieter but also more expensive. Since I was looking to save money, I started checking out blade grinders but I soon discovered the best burr coffee grinder that is affordable. Apart from electric powered machines, I also found manually operated coffee grinders. A manual coffee grinder is good if you’re looking for a quiet machine which you can use anywhere.
One of the best manual coffee grinders that I discovered is the Hario MSS-1B Mini Coffee Mill Slim Grinder. This one uses ceramic burrs, which means that the ground coffee comes out with excellent uniformity. What I like about this machine is that it comes with markings to indicate the amount of ground coffee that’s perfect for a cup of coffee. It also has a compact form that allows comfortable holding and cranking.
Another machine I discovered is called Mr. Coffee Automatic Burr Mill Grinder BMH23. This is an electrically powered burr grinder that comes with a bean hopper, grinds container and steel burrs. However, this machine has limited texture settings and it’s only suitable if you want to brew drip coffee. Being a cheap grinder, it’s a bit messy due to clogging chutes and the grinds container has a poor design. However, if since I was looking for the best budget coffee grinder, I settled for this particular machine.
